Great video showing the APS. This has helped me in surgery a great deal.

What are the complications of performing this type of surgery? I would love to know.

Complications include anesthesia risk of aspiration, high fever, nausea, vomiting. Surgical risks include bleeding, transfusion, blood clots, bladder or bowel injury or perforation, mesh exposure or erosion, pain with intercourse, failed surgery with recurrent prolapse. My complication rates are low but never zero. I have had to transfuse about 2-3% of my patients. I have had one rectovaginal fistula in ten years, two bladder perforations, and two with blood clots to the lungs in 20 years. My bladder repair success is about 99%. I have had four failed surgeries in the past six years and I do over 150 per year. Hope this helps.
